You can take the effect of the interracial layers by modifying the surface recombination rate at the interface between the HTL and the perovskite.

This layer may have effect also on the volume recombination of the perovskite.

This can be accounted for in the simulator by increasing the lifetime of the carriers in the bulk of the perovskite. That is the layer can be modeled by its effects .
