According to the reaction protocol following for polymer conjugate reaction if the given solvent mentioned is not soluble for the reaction we are going for. So, is it okay to add the desirable solvent in which that first polymer is soluble (following the procedure) and further going ahead with following the protocol or should I just follow the reaction protocol or what should i do any suggestion. THANK YOU!!

(p.s- The solvent used according to protocol is dry DCM and the solvent in which it is soluble is chloroform.)
