In free will vs determinism, compatabilism is the most parsimonious and probable explanation. Out of the explanations, we either have no free will, in which any capacity to reason is futile. Or we have complete free will, which is demonstrably false because people do not get to choose everything. Therefore, the most parsimonious explanation is compatabilism.
