What would be the best way to quantitate the number of new born neurons in the DG, when mice have not been injected with BrdU?

Hello, Ambalika,

I think you could use DCX or Ki-67, but remember to note some limitations. For example, DCX may label some glial cells, and Ki-67 may vary according to the genetic background. Maybe you can take a look at these papers, they can help brighten your ideas.
