In a typical solar cell, Jsc is seen to increase with bandgap of the active absorber material. However, the FF is seen to decrease. How can we explain this tradeoff?
"In a typical solar cell, Jsc is seen to increase with bandgap of the active absorber material" -- do you really mean it like this: "When increasing the bandgap of the absorber material, also Jsc increases"? I ask explicitly about this point because intuitively I would expect exactly the opposite (i.e., that Jsc goes down when increasing the bandgap).
