The soils have been analysed to have a K ppm & % value of (Av 200 ppm and 3%); Mg (400 ppm & 31%); Ca (1002 ppm & 45%) as well as Na (200 ppm & 19%). Because this is a dry-land based system, draining the nutrients isn't an option. What would be a solution to these type of soil in terms of lowering the Mg and Na concentration in soil?

One other question, apart from Ca, which other basic cation influence soil pH? I have observed in some of the samples that I have analysed that even though the Ca (roughly around 500-ppm) values are low the pH would be  quite high averaging around 6.8 to 7.3. What I have seen though in the same set of samples, the Mg concentrations would be high and  I haven't read anywhere where it says that Mg directly affects the soil pH, what else could be causing the pH to be this high?

Thanks in advance!
