I need to implement graph coloring base concept in femtocell for LTE-A. Can anyone suggest me which simulator tool to use for implementation of my work? How good is ns-3 simulator for my purpose? As I am very new for ns-3 or any other simulator. So, kindly let me know from where should i start?

A possible alternative for simulating LTE networks is SimuLTE. It is based on the Omnet++ Framework and it comes with an LGPL license. We already used it for some studies on interference coordination.

You can try NetSim. It has an easy to use GUI as well as source codes for all protocols. It is a very popular tool for network R & D.
