In Abaqus Simulia, you can change the feed rate of your tool during the Friction Stir Welding simulation by adjusting the tool's velocity. The velocity is the rate at which the tool is moving along the plate.
Here are the steps to change the feed rate of your tool:
Open your Abaqus Simulia model and go to the step where the Friction Stir Welding is being simulated.
In the "Tree Outline" window, navigate to the "Interaction" section, and select the "Friction Stir Welding" interaction.
In the "Interaction Properties" window, select the "Velocity" tab. Here, you will be able to adjust the velocity of the tool along the x, y, and z axis.
Modify the values in the "Velocity" field to change the tool's feed rate. Keep in mind that the unit of measure is (mm/s).
Once you have made the desired changes, run the simulation again to see the effect of the new feed rate on the tool's movement and the results of the weld.
It's worth noting that you can also change the feed rate of your tool by adjusting the tool's rotation speed, which is found under the "Rotation" tab in the "Interaction Properties" window.
Also, it's important to validate the feed rate value based on the actual welding process and make sure that the simulation is well-converged.
