ppm is equal to microgram/milliliter (ug/mL), or milligram/liter (mg/L)

41% Sl glyphosate means 41g in 100 mL solvent; this means 41000mg in 0.1L (410,000 ppm)

So if you want to prepare 10 L of glyphosate et 1ppm (mg/L):

CiVi= CfVf (with Ci= 410,000 ppm; Cf= 1 ppm and Vf= 10L)

Vi =CfVf/Ci

Vi= 1 ppm x 10L /410,000 ppm= 24,39x10-6 L this imply that Vi = 24,4uL

So, take 24,4uL of glyphosate Sl and dissolve it in a sovvent for a total volume of 10L; to have a solution of 1ppm

In your question you did not state the final volume you want or what you will use the 1 ppm solution for.

I concur with the previous answer by Mr Romain Fouelefack.

I suggest that if you do the dilution in 2 steps it is easier and more accurate. Dilution procedure is:

1 Invert the unopened bulk container to mix (in case of settling)

2 Pipette 1 ml of the concentrate (410,000 ppm) into a 1 L glass bottle and make up to 1 Litre with clean water, cap and mix. This solution is 410 ppm.

3. Pipette 2.44 mL into a 1 Litre bottle and make up to 1 Litre with clean water, cap and mix. This solution is 1 ppm.

41 % = 410000 ppm

So it is difficult to prepare 1 ppm from it directly, unless you would to prepare 10 l as suggested by Mr. Romian

I suggest to make two dilutions:

First take 1 ml from the solution and dilute it to 100 ml

Second, from the diluted one take 24.4 ul and make it 100 ml you will get 1 ppm solution
