I personally consulted a number of books published by Hanser or any other publications, relating to plastic design, but I was unable to determine any permissible stress limit for polymers such as PA66 GF30, POM or PEEK. Many have given the perfect formula that if we divide Ultimate Stress or Breaking Stress by these many factors then we will have permissible stress limits. However, without proper testing facilities, it will not be possible for us to extract those factors. Therefore, we would like to know whether there exists any correct legit method with which we can approximate permissible stress limits for a number of polymers, since we require these data very much when conducting FEM Simulations. In most cases, our systems are subjected to high temperatures (i.e. 100°C) and cyclic loads.
