If in the design phase of your research you did not calculate an adequate sample size according to your objectives and follow an appropriate sample design, you can do anything with a priori taken sample, but not the right statistics. Anyhow, your sample size apparently are “enough” for apply parametric or non-parametric methods of association, then if you will do that (it's your choice), you must to calculate and report the precision and potency (to evaluate the significance of the association) of your inferences with the sample size and variability obtained.
