If sporulation occur by asymmetric division, what could be the reason for formation of central endospore?

Usually spore formatio noccur by asymmetric division at or near the cell pole. So presumably all sporulating cells should have their endospores located at terminal or subterminal position. Then how do some cells have central endospores?
