50 qualitative interviews have been completed and coded. There are a couple of really interesting topics that were brought up only by 20-40% of the participants. Is this enough to talk about in the write-up? What percentage of interviewees have to discuss something for a researcher to be able to say "this was a topic that was discussed by my participants and I'm going to write about it"? **ANY BALLPARK GUESS OR OFF-THE-CUFF OPINIONS ARE WELCOME** Please, I'm just trying to get a sense of what people think about this.

In qualitative research, from my perspective, it typically depends on how important and interesting those examples are in relation to your research question. It might not be worth a large proportion of your write up if only one participant mentioned this - but if it is nicely linked to your research question and perhaps brought up by a number of participants, then it would certainly be worth discussing.
Depends on the research question. If your aim is to find *all* unique concepts related to a phenomena, then I would say a concept deserves to be noted even if just one participant mentioned it.
In the write-up, it may be interesting to discuss more rarely mentioned concepts in any case, and perhaps even provide explanations as to why these may have been mentioned less often than others. For example, is the reason related to the participant sample or the rarity of the concept?
