There are three cases obvious from my research work.
Case1
Virtual mass part of dark matter can be accelerated to faster than speed of light upto 500000km/s. Spacetime expansion rate, Quantum entanglement communication speed and the speed of the wave propounded by Nikola Tesla belong to this category.
Case2
Particles of mass greater than 1kg,cosmic speed is one-third the speed of light. This is the real world scenario.The fastest spinning object in the Universe,which is 50 billion times massive than the sun,does at a rate exactly one-third the speed of light.
Case3
Particles less than 1kg,subatomic particles like protons can be accelerated upto almost c m/s. For instance,protons in CERN achieved this speed.

Personally, I do not believe that faster-than-light travel is possible.

In this case, NASA researchers are more or less, trying to confirm,more than 5 year old mathematically verified theory of mine . Here, I am not trying to fit data , to recent grand development or event and rather it is the other way round. Pls view my publications in this regard and don't play the role of a spoiler or detractor in this regard.

NASA researchers are searching for technological solutions in order to travel at faster than light speeds. The limit of the speed of light is imposed by only one mathematical relation: the Lorentz Transformation. Nothing other denies the real possibility to go beyond the speed of light and just the Theory of Reference Frames proves that possibility is theoretically possible. I think also it is untimely now to theorize new limits of speed.

It is at the very least a bit unfortunate that the technology which presumably leads to superluminal travel is the same that also leads to violation of momentum conservation. The EM drive is claimed, in a highly speculative and so far not reproducible way, to generate thrust without any kind of propellant. The difficulty was always that the forces were too small to detect. Now the same technology leads to another impossibility: I would, at the very least, advise caution.
