I tried to provide a new article published in Our Dermatology Online, e-ISSN: 2081-9390. The journal name, however, could not be added exactly in the reference. Instead, another journal was suggested, which was not the right one.
Ditto. Tried to add a new paper of mine in "Politics, Groups, and Identities" but no luck so I just put "published in Politics, Groups, and Identities" in the title.
Sorry, could you explain me what exactly the problem is: what does it mean "journal registered" or "not registered" in RG? I have never had any trouble of this kind, although e.g. my Procrustomachia (at least the first issue) has evedently not been "registered" anywhere, and I have never asked anybody for registering - evidently I do not understand what do you have in mind?
To answer to Andy, yes I done it in the past but you get very few points RG by doing this. When I registered 2 journals, I suddenly get a lot of points. That means that there is a big advantage to register the journals. + it easier to register the papers.
I can't recall exactly what I done as I made many tries before succeed (and I remember it was a nightmare before finding the first right contact) but sure it is in the "community support" ( [email protected] ) that finally made the changes (I had contact with different guys : Brian, Thomas and Ben). They explicitely asked an issn to register the revues.
Really nobody is able (or, rather, willing..) to answer my question? What is the difference between "registered" and "not registered" journals? Where the respective "register" can be found? Or, how do you know whether this or that journal is or is not "registered"?
Roman, when you add a new article to researchgate, in the second window of this process there is a box, where you enter the name of the magazine. When you typed in the first letters, the box shows the deposited (registered) magazine names and you havwe to choice one. You can nat write any magazine names into this box, which are nozt deposited (not registered).
Thanks, Jürgen, for the answer, but I still do not really understand: how it is that my Procrustomachia or Sine censura appear with full bibliographic data (journal name, volume, issue, pages) although - believe me - I have never consciously "registered" any of them, nor could have anybody else done (at least the first issues have, obviously, not been known before to anybody)? Maybe the problems occur when the author (as, unfortunately, is increasingly common nowadays...) tries to add to RG only some information (abstract, preprint or so) of his/her work but not final version (all my papers are being uploaded immediately as full, "public open access" publications)?
Thierry: So, what is the problem? My journals are - as you confirm - unregistered, but they are indicated as well as titles of the respective papers? So, what the difference between "registered" and "unregistered"?
Thierry: "I just tried to help in a specific question, no more" - thank you very much, this is just the answer to this specific question what I needed! Now I know, not only suspect, that the problem is out of importance to me!
