Hello,

I used DPPH to estimate the antioxidant activity for a number of plant extracts. I calculated the IC50 for all of them. From literature, I found a term called antiradical power (ARP) = (1/IC50)*100. I calculated that parameter as well, then I calculated the correlation coefficient for the relationship between the total polyphenolic content (TPC, using Folin-Ciocalteu assay) and IC50 then between TPC and ARP. The correlation coefficient were totally different. For TPC and IC50, it was -0.44, while it was 0.88 for TPC and ARP. How can I explain this big difference? and which relationship is more reliable to include in my results?

Thank you
