Is anyone able to tell me the reference of a paper published in high ranked journal where SEM is applied to a convenience sample? Or could anyone here suggest a reference from statistics justifying SEM with convenience sample? Many thanks.

You can look at Westland article, "lower bound on sample size in structural equation modeling" for guidelines on sample size in CB-SEM.
