When you put a new computer online it will be simulated using a docker container so the resources usage will be quite thinner than the fully virtualised model.

If you need something from the Microsoft world (WMI stands for Windows Management Instrumentation right?) i'm quote sure that immunes can't simulate a windows host, so for the Microsoft hosts you will probably need to use a fully virtualised approach.

If you are good in programming go with NS2 or NS3. If you need real network go with plantlab. I think you can get a session.

There are many available simulation software. You may use freeware such like ARENA. You may also try ProModel, but this package is quite expensive.
