As a part of the project, I was using reserpine 5 mg diluted in 10 % acetic acid to induce lactation. The animals become too drowsy and heart rate will be decreased. There was increase in respiration and shallow. May be attributed to reserpine?? Glacial acetic acid cause such things?? Anybody do have the explanation???

Probably reserpine. Did you try a lower dose? Do you have a control group where you administer only 10% acetic acid? These two may be needed to explain the main reason. Please see the attached paper.
