I recently made my own supercapacitor using a carbon electrode from a commercial supercapacitor and the I used separator was also from the commercial SC. I used 6M KOH solution as my electrolyte, then charged the SC for an hour with a 5v 0.7Amp charger. The SC charged very slowly and also had a very high discharged, what were the cause of slow charge and high self discharge?
