Im interested into spark plasma sintering of tungsten carbide powders an production of different segments via this. its gonna be my PhD thesis subject so it has to have innovation and should be on the edge of the science. is there anyone who can help me in definition of my PhD thesis subject in this respect or introduce me an article which can give me some ideas?
i myself am considering finding some novelties about the type of additives/binders and the way they are added to the powder.

most of the work published is on WC-Co or other cemented carbides, you may have a look at the following publication for SPS of pure WC.

We recently made fully dense TiC by SPS, it is demanding for the machine but it works.
