I actually want to generate a signal that will look like a vibration signal and use it to modulate the optical light using Machzendar modulator, but I don't know how to go about it. I want it to modulate the intensity of the light as if it is a vibration environment and such vibration can be varied. Can someone help please? Both on Optisys and Experimental.

You can use a transducer which will convert mechanical to electrical signal.
This electrical baseband signal, you can use to modulate your optical carrier using MZM.

I start from simulation.
1) You need to generate your signal in the electrical domain ( the one which is modulating the Mach Zehnder modulator and). I suggest start with sine wave. you must use the right sampling frequency, remember the Nyquist Theorem and check it it the time domain to see it is a perfect sine wave.
2) you need to use the transfer function of the single drive or dual drive mach Zehnder modulator and know very carefully the biasing condition of the Mach-Zehnder as it is absolutely important to know exactly what is the biasing point you want to tune the MZM. when you completed these stages you can generate a random signal (noise look a like) to modulate the MZM. You needed further help please let me know.
