One project that I am working on requires finding modern proxies for extinct species based on niche and diet. The extinct taxon I am using possessed selenodont teeth, likely consumed bulky vegetation comprising of dicotyledonous leaves, fruits, and twigs, and ranged from 4-14 kg.

Can anyone think of an extant taxon that would be a suitable comparison?
