I believe this work is particularly relevant also for safety and loss prevention either in industry or in the automotive/aeronautical industry. Hence, I would expect the associated publications to also address or provide some insights as to the socio-economic relevance of the model/optimisation solutions. This also means identified decision variables and therefore optimisation algorithms for the nonlinear models should also have some socio-economic relevance that can aid engineering management decisions for optimizing safety and loss prevention in several related rigid structures.
