I cannot get the .csv file to open on vosviewer ( Error while reading file..... IOException reading next record: java.io.IOexception: (line 182) invalid char between encapsulated token and delimiter" ). I have looked into the file at line 182 but can't see anything special about it. Any other options to consider, will removing this file manually from excel sheet affect my results?

Dhvani H Kuntawala, you did not mention the database you have extracted data from. I would suggest you to extract data from "Dimensions" to run on VOSviewer. You can easily get .csv file from there for bibliometric mapping.

I am having the same problems with VOSViewer. An error message appears and the program is not working. I am using bibliometrix R-package.
Oscar Herrera Calderon You could go through your Bibliometrix R-package manually. I figured my problem of having an error was actually in the excel sheet and not VOS Viewer. Hope that helps!

Hello, I met the same issue and address it successfully by moving this line (182) into the last line of the csv file.
Dear Wenjian Fan, and what if I will receive the same IOException for another (next) line? Will it work if I put several lines to the end of the document?
I attempted to solve the issue removing such lines. But this leads to the change of the exception line number (renumbering, i.e., 1009 instead of 1010).
Milyausha Sirazetdinova having put several lines to the end of the document should work.
I suggest checking for invalid characters in the mentioned line number.
