Fibrofog is a particular form of cognitive impairment descripted in patients affected by Primary Fibromyalgia . The cognitive pattern of Fibrofog is very different from the Alzheimer cognitive pattern (attentional memory versus episodic memory, for example....).

Probably, the so-called FibroFog is relate to cerebral areas regarding executive function and attention.
Can fibroFog in elderly patients realize an intricate challenge with Subjective Impairment or so-called Depressive Pseudo-dementia ? What´s your opinion and experience regarding this ?

In my experience Fibrofog in young and adults affected by Primary Fibromyalgia can be very different from so-called Fibrofog in elderly patients, especially ih those with vascular dementia or so-called vascular cognitive impairment.
Is so also for you ?
Our experience with the younger population is fibrofog is usually associated with a traumatic event such as a concussion. Also fibrofog appears in about 10% of our population post surgery and in another 10% who are getting or had chemo for breast cancer. I agree that the fibrofog in the elderly can be quite different usually quite diffuse symtpoms with gradual onset.
