I’m trying to get twitter data by using rtweet package in R.
Particularly, I would launch a specific query in order to get only tweets from a specific country and with the geolocation information, so that all tweets from the selected country but without lat/lon would be excluded from the data.
With rtweet there is an option to filter tweets from a specific country, but it requires the Google Api. I would know if there is an alternative way to reach my aim without using Google Api. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.

The easiest way to go about it is to use Twitter Advanced Search. There you can search for twitter conversations while limiting the search to tweets from users near a certain country or a city.
