If you are extracting from XY data> ODB field output, check if 'position: unique nodal' is selected.

ABAQUS uses local directions for shell elements. The stress components are defined in these local directions. So for example for plane stress and plane strain elements the stresses s11, s22 and s33 are in the global x, y and z directions respectively. Therefore s11 represents sigma-xx and so on for the rest of stress components. Also you can refer to Abaqus documentation.
