I am starting neutrophil isolation from whole blood for the first time and looking for any practical advice?

Eg. do you have to start isolations immediately after blood draw? Details on collection? Does the blood have to be transported on ice or left at RT? Using combination of Histopaque and Dextran for isolations so any advice would be appreciated!
