I have found a nice way (at least I think so) how to estimate collagen orientation in 180° range istead of usual 90° range without the necessity of using quarter wave plates (see attached figure-it shows orientation distribution of achilles tendon specimens with respect to lower horizontal edge of the image) but I am not an expert in the polarized light microscopy (PLM) so I can explain how it works but not why it works like that. Therefore I am looking for a help with the theory of PLM. I am preparing a paper for journals like Journal of Miscroscopy or Microscopy and Microanalysis and I am offering an authorship (2nd or 3rd position based on the portion of work). Is anybody interesting in cooperation with me? Thanks for your answers.
