Here is the process I tell my students when they are struggling choosing a research topic. I initially tell them to ask themselves the following, or similar, questions:

After answering these questions, read a few general articles related to said answers. After formulating some basic ideas, then you need to look at your department and see which ideas they can support. If there are a couple professors there who overlap with any of the ideas you found especially interesting, talk to them about potential gaps in those fields. They are better equipped to help identify issues with research design and grant funding.

Final note: most students' topics shift as they conduct research because, as they learn more, they better appreciate the limitations in their field.

Faculty will be more likely to put time and effort into guiding and helping you with their Master's thesis if your work is somehow related to their research interests.

If you are still at the stage where you are deciding on a research topic - you might consider global management in the context of the expansion of the Chinese economy. China's relatively new Belt Road Initiative has provided academics and scholars with a new approach in terms of how companies and countries think about global management.
