To do a research work of a good PhD in any of the field of computing u have to choose to be in one of the following :

1. Lead yourself and your adviser/supervisor in the field you are investigating in. this also means that your adviser has extensively excelled in research in this area. self motivation is a top priority in this case as well as advanced knowledge in the field of research.

or

2. Work on a project your adviser  proposed to you of which you are interested in. "interest"  is very important in this case.

3. working in a team on project in which your contributions and work can lead you comfortably lead you in obtaining a research topic as well as a contribution.

or

4. other options not known to me.

Solution in finding a field.

 1. Do something in an area you are good, have an interest and easily do stuffs without stress.

2. Do not go to areas  that will make you think will get you a job. Because u can create a job with what u are good at and u cannot cope with a field and compete with people to keep what they are natural mind frequencies are tuned to.

How to work on the field.

1. Read extensively in that area that is top ranking journals indexed SCI, SCIE, ISI SCIMANGO etc. But bare in mind that not all articles in these places are cutting edge. Look out for opened research topics too. 

2. In computing fields, fresh ideas are mostly found in conference papers. Some of them are  ground breaking too with future research-able areas.

If you are able to go through the above successfully and get a research topic, then you ready to start a world class PhD.

Always remember that as a PhD student and a researcher, you are on your own in search and progress but your contributions will team up with others in making that field a better field for mankind.

In a similar vein to  Kester's response - If you would like to be an academic, you have two options:

1) The easy but boring way: Find a supervisor who is a world leader in his/her field and who is willing to take you on, then do exactly as he/she says. When he/she retires you will be the new expert. 

2) The difficult but exciting way: Find an area that you are passionate about and that you feel has been overlooked or underdeveloped, then beat your own path.

If you are looking to work in industry when you graduate, then that is a different story.

Thanks for all comments and also recommendation. My background of study was actually in Information Technology (Multimedia) but my Phd study in Computer Engineering because of scholarship offered. Therefore, I am still blurred what i will go through in this filed of study. All of your advises are highly appreciated...I will Keep in Touch with you all.   

I think if your basic is multimedia who can made recognition (software or hardware for divabelity.May be you can make a tools for theraphis for downsindrom or divabelity.it will give a good impact who pasien can use the software.
