Magnetic neutron diffraction data analysis and interpretation.
Actually there are 3 Fe3+ sites. Two have spin up and one spin down. One site has spin 5mB but other 2 are having low moments. I expect all 3 to have HS 5mB
After using Fullprof to obtain the Fe moments I find 2 Fe3+ sites have very low moments, while the 3rd site has 5mB moment.
Hello Keka R. Chakraborty, could you help me, please?. I m trying to process neutron TOF diffraction data obtained from yttrium iron garnet substituted by dysprosium using Fullprof program. I expect that solid solution has ferrimagnetic structure. But I can't understand well how to read and take into account the result obtained from calculating an irreducible representation of little groups and basis functions of polar and axial vector properties. I attached the *.pcr file for calculating a magnetic structure. Please check it.

Is there any ordering to consider in between Ga and Sc cations (markedly different cation sizes) onto the octahedral/tetrahedral sites, or you assumed the Ga/Sc distribution is random as for example in the Ga1-xAlxFeO3 system, where both Ga and Al have almost the same atomic radii?
Otherwise, is the magnetic structure to consider is simply colinear?

Yes Sc goes to a particular site. Yes the magnetic structure is collinear.
