I am doing MIC susceptibility test on S. mutans. Can i culture them on Brain heart infusion then pour them on Mueller hinton agar plate then do the susceptibility test after?
Also, where can i get defibrinated sheep blood in the philippines?

You can use Brain heart infusion for culturing blood-borne fastidious bacteria. Streptococcus mutans obtained from swabs of periodontal abcess or cariogenic tooth can be grown on blood sugar. The pure isolates are set for the determination of MIC using Muller Hinton agar.
