I am doing extracellular recording for optic nerve but I can not get a stable baseline most probably because of the nerve movement during experiment. Does anyone can help me?
Are you using metal or glass electrodes? Unstable baseline can be due to many factors: such as bad grounding or lack of it, blocked tip or high resistance at the tip of your electrode, large (broken) electrode tip. In the past I have done extra cellular recordings from retina using glass electrodes (see below for details)
