i am trying to add the maximum number of articles for my study.
two surgeries are comparing in this SR and MA. the outcome is a quantitative variable that report in mean and sd.
there are some studies that report the outcome of only one approach. and some of them are comparing two approaches.
can i use both kind of studies for my analysis. if not, is it ok to report the one approach articles in the table 1 of my result?
Alireza Keshtkar Alireza, - I suggest a different question; what way helps illuminate the procedures and outcomes that eases understanding by your audience. -- Ignore trying to maximize number of articles. Instead ask how information can be presented to best help everyone understand the difference and similarities of the two procedures.

I try to ask my question in a better way.
i am trying to shed light in the differences between A and B procedure in a patient reported outcome.
some article are comparing A and B procedures but, one of them find A better than B and on find no differences between A,B and one find B better than A.
There are other article that comparing A and C (another type of surgery) procedures but reporting my interested outcome.
How can i use the A outcome in the latter example in my meta-analysis about comparing A and B procedure.
