It is amazing that car manufacturers have even come up with the concept of designing a one seater car. Here, you don’t have to contend with back seat drivers or anything that will distract you from enjoying your ride. Unfortunately, despite the many benefits, not many people know about the cars, and there are actually not too many of them on the market.
· Can not be used for transport- not transporting more than one person
· If you get one with smaller seats, they are only suitable for persons without legs.
Chassis Requirements
1. The chassis must be easily manufacturable and affordable.
2. A new design approach of a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis (if you budget allow and company afford) is advisable. Vehicle weighs must not more than 150kg. if choice of carbon fiber, as a construction material, it can achieve the minimization of the overall chassis mass, maximizing strength performance. However, it is very costly.
3. Car must be structural, aesthetic, and fulfil the ergonomic requirements
4. In order for the design to be modified easily must choose conceptual design phase, the parametric design method.
5. High efficiency of the the chassis must be obtained followed by simple design rules and techniques by which it can conform to the vehicle structural and dynamical constraints.
6. Must pass with appropriate design analysis of materials selection and parts design, simple model that automatically calculates the total loads that are applied on a vehicle’s chassis are required. Model should be derived from the theory of Vehicle Dynamics and are explained thoroughly.
One of paper I have published recently on three wheeler. It may not be much helpful but some help you can go throughout the read paper.
