Actually these are not plates but araponics seedholders filled with 1/2 MS 0.55% agar. Maybe the agar concentration is not enough... But if I increase it to much the roots do not go through it

It's look like a problem of gravity or light perception. What is the composition of the MS used (extra hormons added?)? Which type light do you use? the intensity and the orientation?

No extra hormons no... This is 77.5µE with vertical light
