I'm planing on doing some laboratory work, and I'm going to measure the density of an emulsion which has the viscosity in these ranges "28 000 - 65 000 cP".
So the question is - will I get proper results if I measure the density using a hydrometer?

I recommend using GP-120s instrument densitometer.

A simple hydrometer may be satisfactory if its accuracy is sufficient. Please make sure that the temperature of your sample during the measurement is well defined. I agree with Akram Jassim Jawad that an automatic densitometer (e.g. from Mettler-Toledo) may be a good option, provided that this instrument is compatible with the extremely high viscosity level of your sample. Otherwise you can use a pyknometer, a simple laboratory glassware vessel with a very well-defined volume. If the high sample viscosity gives trouble in filling the pyknometer, you can heat your sample before filling to lower its viscosity and then bring the filled pyknometer to the desired temperature.
Depends on what type of hydrometer you are using and it range of specific gravity.
Some hydrometers (latexometers) can measure a wide range specific gravity.
