Hello everyone,
We've started using the acidic waste from the anodization bath instead of pure 98% sulfuric acid to neutralize our wastewaters from the rincing bath of our anodization plant.
We observed that the flocculation got quite better, the floc became bigger the turbidity of the water from the reactor of flocculation decreased slightly and the sedimentation got faster in the decanter.
What I wonder about is how exactly did this came to be what reactions occured, knowing that our flocculent is anionic polyacrylamide and that our wastewaters are a blending of rincing bath from mainly etching and anodization.
Could the presence of Aluminium sulfate have stimulated the flocculation ?
I thank you all.
