My name is David Marshall and I am Doctor of Management Student at Colorado Technical University Online. I just recently received approval from the IRB to start data collection on my dissertation Contributions Executives Need to Implement to Promote Women to Executive Positions. However, before I start any data collection, I need an expert review of the interview questions to ensure the highest validity. How would I go about getting an expert review? I have attached the data collection instrument for review. Any help is much appreciated.

I suggest that you clearly specify inclusion and exclusion criteria for the group of executives you wish to study. Maybe you have already done this as part of your approval process. Then, set criteria for what you think would constitute the most highly qualified among them to help you with your validity study. Also, select one or more professional associations to which your target populations would likely belong and that have listservs for their membership. Send a note to the listservs asking for volunteers (paid or not) to contact you if they meet those specific high-level criteria and are willing to participate. I'd use a Google form and send them the link to sign up that way. (You might also use membership lists or LinkedIn to contact people individually.)
Once you have your volunteers, I suggest selecting a small group (5-6), hopefully representing diverse perspectives, and inviting them to a virtual focus group to review and discuss your items. That can be a big help before you go the next steps in sending a validation survey to a larger group of volunteers, as you may get some good insights that would lead you to modify the content that you would then validate with a larger group of those high-level volunteers. For the survey, I'd present one item at a time and give them an open-ended space to react in any way or make a suggestion for rewording. If the survey leads you to make any substantial changes, it would be important to send the revised version out for validation. Of course, the number of participants for your survey will be based on your criteria in terms of planned statistical methods and your power analysis.

Before conducting interviews with experts, I would carry out a pilot test/study first with several area experts (3-5) to determine if there are any limitations, flaws or weakness within the interview questions.

Use Likert Scales. Your questions should be framed so that the answers have options. You also require an option for respondents who don't know the answer. Then you can analyse the answers statistically using Chi Square tests

For the recruitment
- Talk to your supervisor and your connections to help
- Search online (Universities, research institutions, and companies), get their contact details, and email them.
- Read news articles and scientific publications to check for people in the field you are working on and contact them.
Don't feel discourage if you dont get immediate reply or respond at all. You may have to send a reminder email and even call them.
Hint: Use your department/University logo/letter head to make the email official.
