In the new Era of modern technology and research, what are the possibilities of researchers' collaboration with 3D printing options?
In my fields, public health and healthcare, researchers and practitioners will benefit from 3-D printing in a variety of ways. i3-D printing will allow surgeons to improve accuracy in planning cosmetic surgery. Researchers will be able to study the impact of this innovation. The hospitals treating trauma patients can use better visualization of bone senates and use thode images for Telehealth.

Wonderful ideas Gulzar Shah , especially that relates to Telehealth, as much can be achieved from sending the patient's specific "data" to customize the treatment using 3D-printed physical structures
From my specialty (Pediatric ICU), the 3D printing would allow customization of all medical instruments (like Central Line Catheters, Endotracheal Tube (ETT), even the stethoscope chest-piece) to each child's weight and height.
That could be further structured/printed with cartoon-characters and decorations that would help to reduce the child's anxiety: by adding the pictures they like and soothing colors; transforming their "hostile" PICU room and equipment into a child-friendly environment, as much as possible,
3D printing is in fact the present and future of manufacturing engineering. Research is on-going in making everything 3D printable. Imaging printing a shirt to be worn before going out using a 3D printer!

3D printing would litteraly change the dependance of tool engineers, which are being very scarce in modern days.

3-D printing has been growing aggressively, and diverse thought leaders agree that additive manufacturing (AM) technology will provide a new industrial revolution, fundamentally changing the way products are made. Recently, many materials, most deemed as non-printable before, have surfaced in the field of 3D printing as new 3D printable materials; for example, glass, concrete, carbon fibers, dissolvable metals, etc. Though not many have reached commercial maturity, the endless possibilities of 3D printing have been undoubtedly manifested.
