I and another student are writing a research proposal, entitled "The Impacts of The Interspecific Competition Between Aedes aegypti Linnaeus 1762 and Aedes albopictus Skuse 1894 on The Spread of the Dengue Virus". We will test the hypothesis that the competitive abilities of both species will be affected by the current season in the Philippines (cold, rainy, and hot). We are also considering the introduction of Wolbachia infection to both species as a method of reducing their populations since these mosquitoes serve as vectors for viruses such as the dengue virus.
I have lived in the RP and the climate changes seem remarkable to an expat. The difference in the survival rates of these two Aedes is altered by seasonal changes. That should also affect the difference in the survival and impact of the Wolbachia in the local populations. For an excellent place to start in the literature see:

There will be inter specific competition between two species will depend upon the susceptibility status of both species towards wolbachia. Their is difference in breeding biology and niche selection by both species. yet a good laboratory experiment set up in the lab can address the answer
infected mosquitoes of both species can be reared in similar conditions with their control counterparts in each study. then the mosquitoes may be allowed to select niches artificially created as per their habit in a cage to lay eggs.
one by one species and see behavioural modification if any
For albopictus there wouldn't be having issues for Wolbachia infection, may be for aegypti will be more harder. As in natural environment albopictus frequent found infected with Wolbachia.
