nano materials are agglomerate fast after the synthesis process and with time ore some time its loss its nano size and aggregates specially the metal oxides
Inorder to attain monodispersity in nano particles you can purify them by dialyzing using a dialysis membrane of respective molecular weight cuttoff and also if you can give proper washing using centrifuge. Other than this proper storage conditions for nanostructures also affect their size and prevent from agglomeration.
Keep the stabilized material(s) in colloidal suspension or atomized form. Do not dry or allow particles to come in contact with one another or surfaces. Stabilization by steric or charge stabilization routes. See also:

There are a number of methods to stabilize metal nanoparticles. A number of different techniques such as stabilization by different ligands have been reviewed in the following ref:
One other technique, which is used in many applications especially to make stable catalyst or electrocatalyst materials from metal/metal oxide nanoparticles is to stabilize the nanoparticles on solid support materials (for example on carbon based supports). One of the roles of the support material is to protect the nanoparticles from aggregation to make stable nanomaterials even in the case that nanoparticles are utilized in some chemical or electrochemical reactions. By the use of a proper support material, making stable sub-nano materials is also possible.
