In powder form we use the diffuse reflectance mode. After that we convert data in absorption by using kubelka munk function. [from that absorption spectra we see the maximum intensity peak profile and from that we easily calculate the rough energy band gap.] After that, we plot the graph between [F(∞)hv]2 vs hv. Is the procedure I follow right ?
