Dear researchers, I have one query about the evaluation o drug release for the ointment. We want to investigate the drug release profile of ointment. but we do not have scientific instruments like Franz diffusion cell. We want to check the drug release profile of ointment in a simple lab by authentic and simple technique. is there any possible technique?
Dear Jitendra, Yes there are methods where you can check drug release u can check drug release by inverted test tube method. use cellophane membrane and place ointment in it and tie it to inner side of testtube place the inverted test tube in diffusion media and check the drug release.

Dear Jitendra... there is a good option, as our colleague, #Akshat Shah, tell you, but you need to think what is the objective for the intended use of the result you are going to achieve, because for WP publication, or official use (registration), it is not possible to use.

Particularly the Immersion Cell (the cheapest one...), which permit the use of the Apparatus II for dissolution test (USP Pharmacopeia), just for release the API in a media and not for Invivo -Invitro correlation-ship intention - just for API release orientation.
