Egg shell ( if pure) consist for 95 % of calciumcarbonate. The protein/amino acid content is very limited. Shells from breaking-plants or hatcheries may contain some adhering protein but it is still a minor part of the total material.
Thus I do not think that this material is the logical choice to use, if one wants to bind chromium to amino acids. I could think of many other (waste) proteins to use instead.
