I have read once on a psychology journal of an experiment, where students had to read different recipes written in different sizes and typeface. The result was that they perceived recipes written in a way that was harder to read, as also harder to cook.
However I could not find any reference to the specific research. Have you ever read anything similar?

Not only the documentation and communication-design are valuable in this regard, but also: (1)- The characteristic of a student choosing a psychology class to attend rather than so many others, is important in the outcome. (2)- The mindset of the each student would changes (gets more motivated or anxious), when they know that there is an evaluation or exam. (3)- there would be different kinds of reactions and outcomes, based on the gender of the students, regarding their different interest-points to the daily cooking and recipe-matters. Overall, the variables of Time and era, Size of the event, Space and environment (TSS) could influence the general outcome of an assessment.
