I am trying to work with H.264 video compression technique and using JM H.264 AVC REFERENCE SOFTWARE module for same. As per the manual provided by the http://iphome.hhi.de/suehring/tml/ , I have installed MS visual studio to work with "jm_vc11.sln" project.
I have following query regard it:
1) I am not able to understand, how to start with above project?
2) what is the role of Doxygen? and how to use it?
As I am beginner for this software, so may anybody help me to step by step guide to work with above software?
or provide some valuable online resource for same (except the attached file).

Actually I am implementing the paper "H. Hadizadeh and I. V. Bajić, "Saliency-aware video compression," submitted to IEEE Trans. Image Processing". Authors have used the JM reference software for H.264 implementation and also provided the code for above paper (attached below). There are five steps in attached code, I have successfully used the four steps, and last step is related to JM reference software.
1) I need to know whether we will modify the source files (given under lencod [for encoder]) or other files?
2) Above paper is compared by other previous existing methods on the basis of several parameters among them one parameter is "Eye tracking weighted mean square error", so how to get the values of these parameters from encoded file?

I have successfully extracted the files "motion_saliency_file.txt" and "qp_file.txt" and copied same in bin directory. also set the parameter “UseSaliencyAwareAlgorithm” to 1.
But when I rebuild lencod file under “jm_vc9.sln” project. It shows several warnings related to local variable and one error can not open include file 'perceptual_coding.h'. Then I copied 'perceptual_coding.h' file from lencod of “jm_vc8.sln” project. After that I rebuild lencod of “jm_vc9.sln” then it shows errors like "can not open include file:'perceptual_me.h' 'luminance_masking.h' 'pattern_masking.h' etc", and I also checked that, these header files are also not available in “jm_vc9.sln” project (these errors are in 'perceptual_coding.h' header file). I tried to rebuild the lencod after commenting all above header files, then it rebuild successfully but shows warning:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\V140\Microsoft.CppBuild.targets(1189,5): warning MSB8012: TargetPath(C:\Users\Sandeep\Desktop\code\JM_final_our_method\.\lencod/Debug_vc8\lencod.exe) does not match the Linker's OutputFile property value (C:\Users\Sandeep\Desktop\code\JM_final_our_method\bin\lencod.exe). This may cause your project to build incorrectly. To correct this, please make sure that $(OutDir), $(TargetName) and $(TargetExt) property values match the value specified in %(Link.OutputFile).
Sir may you kindly check this program from your side, Here I am sending you the used video file (Qcif format), extracted "motion_saliency_file.txt" and "qp_file.txt" files.

You Could Pass through JM decoder from h.264 video (ENCODER) it will automatically generate test_dec yuv.file which come by decompressed

try to do (encoding or decoding) in command line instead of visual studio. you can find configuration files naming config, include input file name and path along with expected output file name.
one of the best things about JM reference: setting such as frame rate/size and others can also configured by replace default settings in config file.
