Bu Yiyi Hello, Far Field is used for gain and radiation pattern study. To check electric field distribution follow these steps: Simulation> Field Monitor> click on Electric Field ( add frequency for which you wanted to check field)> Apply> Close.
After simulation check results: 2D results> Electric Field.
Also, The electric field can be presented in multiple forms like arrow, and contour.
The definition of a far-field source is one that looks like a plane wave over the region of the model. The CST far-field source is a plane wave.
The far-field monitor gives the far-field properties of the radiation from the model, but does not include any illuminating plane wave.
